The other night we got finished shooting a gorgeous wedding at the Palmdale Estates for some old friend of ours from the old youth group that Jonathan and I used to be in and as we were walking off the property we were just thinking about how much we love what we do. Not only do we get to have fun working with each other as a husband and wife team, we get to be part of such an important day in peoples' lives. Not just the lives of the couples we photograph, but their family members as well. It's such a rewarding feeling leaving at the end of the night and receiving thanks and praises from the parents of the brides and grooms. It can be overwhelming in a way that just makes us thankful for the talent God has given us. The following afternoon we had received an email from one of our past clients and it brought tears to my eyes and just assured me that the choice we made to start this business nearly three years ago was one of the best decisions we made!

|Hi Jonathan & Joanne,
I realize it's been nearly a year and a half since our wedding, but if I was just looking through our wedding photos recently, and wanted to thank you again for being so, so wonderful to work with.
We had made appointments to meet with several photographers, doing extensive groundwork, as many newly engaged couples do. I had some hesitation about hiring someone who had only photographed two weddings (yes, it's been that long!), but any lingering doubts dissolved the instant we met Jonathan. He was so warm and full of life that he felt like an old friend, rather than someone we had just met. And the pictures. The pictures spoke for themselves. Yes, there were only 2 weddings to look at, but there were so many beautiful images from each event, that we knew hiring Jonathan wouldn't be a "risk."
And then the big day arrived. With extra wonderful surprises - 2 assistants (in addition to our 2 shooters), plus a wacky booth! I was ecstatic! Everyone...Jonathan, Joanne, Quincy, and Katie was not only professional, but sweet, friendly, and so much fun, that it put ourselves and all of our guests instantly at ease, which definitely shows in the pictures. In fact, everyone wanted to take all of you home as their new best friends.
Our photographs are gorgeous. I couldn't possibly be happier with the way they turned out. All this time later, and we're still receiving raves about our stunning pictures, and our awesome, kick-ass photographers! I remember with much gratitude how kind, patient, and responsive you were, from the day I first initiated contact, to the day we received all of our images.
Best of luck to your growing business (and beautiful family)!-Michelle & John Rake
Michelle and John, thank you so much for the kind words. Now when I have doubt in ourselves, in our business, in everything that we do; I will look for this awesome e-mail for encouragement, love, and happiness.
And of course...a few photos to reminisce on such a spectacular day.
